It's Thursday May 16th and
I am 80 miles south of Jacksonville Beach. I haven’t written lately
because my computer broke on the way down from Charleston, Sc. I had
such a blast in Jax! Alamar sailed beautifully down the coast to Jax
just in time for blues fest. That sunday we came in town were we
where greeted by so many happy people stumbling the streets of Jax
beach. I met up with Star and Shayanne at bluewater and danced all
night to Corbitt Brothers. That next week I took all of my friends
out sailing all over Jax Beach several times. Kayne left to visit his
family for a couple weeks and tyler stayed on. Chris Jones caught the
first fish to come aboard. It was a door mat size flounder caught
were we were moored at. We took a group of people to Huguenot island
a couple times and climbed the dunes. We jumped and swung off the
mast. One day, fourteen of us cruised down to st. Augustine for
reggae sunday and partied and danced in the rain! We all went to a
night club later on my dingy but when we came back it was gone! So I
was forced to go for a very drunk swim at 3:00 am with a few cops and
my friends cheering me on. I pulled the boat up and we all kind've
got back on, Star fell in the water though and we had a little rescue
mission on are hands. After I got her back on board the cops wished
us farewell saying we could obviously take care of ourselves. My
brother Chris and I also threw a amazing cinco de mayo party on the
beach. We dug a 30 person couch in the sand and buried a keg. We
partied like wild Mexicans!
One weekend we left Alamar moored out
and went to a bon-voyage party in Brooksville, FL on Tylers mom
Susie's farm. It was a amazing party with such good energy held in a
barn overlooking the property. I met all of Tyler and Kayne's family
and friends. They wished us good luck, gave us gifts, and there
blessings! My family went as well and had a blast.
My Favorite day in Jax Beach was May
6th when we through the renaming ceremony. I took some
friends out sailing during the day to the beach then we docked at
Nippers where about 40 of my friends came to take part! We toasted
the ocean and a couple cheap cases of Champagne! It was amazing, half
of us were war painted with mud for the event. I showered Alamar and
everyone aboard with several bottles of Champagne! After we all went
out to the bars and raged. In the morning Arial and I laughed so hard
when we herd of Aj and Shayanne spending the night on some random
yacht next to us in the marina.
The following weekend was absolutely
insane, we went back to Susie's farm for the Biker Rodeo . Which is a
all weekend Charity festival were about 4000 veteran bikers come to
get nuts and party. It was one of the craziest things I have ever
been to with motorcycle riding completions, wet t-shirt contest,
topless dunk tanks, and tattoo competitions. We all had such a
awesome time even though it wasn't really our seen!
Leaving Jax Beach was really hard! It
was sad saying goodbye to all my friends and really knowing that we
wern't going to see each other for a long time. Aj, Star, and
Shayanne gave me this amazing photo album of the last month we all
spent together and a years worth of sunscreen. Star Aj and Emily
decided to sail with us to St. Augustine for one last time. So we
spent yesterday in st. Augustine hanging out in the old town drinking
at bars and strolling the streets. In the Afternoon we motored over
to Vilano Beach and went swimming! Then we cooked dinner off the
beach, smoked a few joints, drank some moonshine and talked all
night! This morning I said my goodbyes to Emily and Star and we
sailed South. Right now Im sailing threw Daytona on my way to Miami.
We should be there monday. Were stopping to visit my buddy joe in
stuart on the way down. Then I'm picking up my cousin Debra and Cixto
in Ft. Lauderdale and they're sailing with us to Miami. Were I'll
anchor her for a few days off Coconut Grove and then I'm headed the
following weekend to Islandmorada to meet up my brother at Tiki Bar
sand bar to party for Memorial day! Then I'm leaving for Bahamas on
June 15th if the weather permits.
Its amazing to finally be back at the
adventure. Partying in Jax was a great time but I was almost feeling
guilty for not sailing off sooner! I can feel my self growing and
learning when I'm traveling. Im starting to become addicted to the
feeling of not knowing what the next day will bring or whats around
the next corner. When I first started that feeling was new to me and
somewhat intimidating but now I just want more. The whole world is my
home and I need to strive to be comfortable in every corner. The real
situation is we are all Brothers and Sisters in this amazing world, I
hope to meet all of my family by the end of my time here...
